The cabin is double, with a good view and sliding doors. It also provides for the installation of a spare control kit. Behind the seats of the crew there is a compartment for instrumentation and radio electronic equipment. Transport helicopters of the cargo-landing modification are equipped with a quick-mounted hanging cabin with dimensions of 1.28 x 1.37 x 1.84 m and folding seats for six passengers. Enter the cab is only possible through a double-leaf door, and in the floor there is a hatch (0,5 x 0,7 m). It is used to disembark and lift people. The entire cabin constantly uses ventilation, there is a heating and soundproofing system.
Tail beams are constructed by a semi-monocoque of aluminum alloy. They are installed horizontal and vertical plumage. The horizontal covers an area of 1.97 m2, it consists of a stabilizer with a rudder and a chord. Vertical tail consists of two rudders of double-lined construction and fiberglass plating Chassis four-foot, non-retractable, with shaped supports and brake wheels (half-ball type). Dampers of transverse oscillations are mounted to the main supports. Supports front, self-orienting, with semi-ball-type wheels. The potassium size of the main supports is 2.24 m, the front legs 0.9 m, the chassis base -3.48 m.
Three-blade rotor screws rotate in the opposite direction, they have a hinged attachment of blades. Each other is mounted at a distance of 1.17 m (taking into account the stock for convergence). Sleeves of screws made of 40ХНМА steel with vertical and horizontal spaced apart joints and axial with roller and ball bearings. They have a central weight limiter and a hydraulic damper.
Screw blades are represented in a trapezoidal form with a chord and profiles. They are made of phenolic-epoxy binder and fiberglass (from fiberglass). A hollow spar of variable cross-section, tail sections and a steel knot of the blade are installed to it. The blade of the blade is protected by a wear-resistant rubber coating, inside which there is a counterweight. At the end of the blade is installed a chamber with antifreeze liquid, from which it is fed to the toe.
Star-shaped reciprocating engines M-14V26 constitute a power plant (created by the designer IM Vedeneev). They are located in the side gondolas of the central compartment of the fuselage. The engines consist of nine cylinders, a reducer, a centrifugal single-speed supercharger and a fan.
The fuel system includes two front and one rear tanks. The total capacity is 630 liters. In some modifications, additional tanks with a capacity of 160 liters were installed. The oil system includes an oil tank (38 liters), oil pumps and oil cooler. The transmission consists of two gearboxes, a combined clutch, a reducer of the main screws and connecting parts. Clutch and engine reducer are the components of M-14B26.
The main screw reducer (P-26) is planetary, two-stage, used to transfer power from the engine to the shafts of the rotors.
The electrical system fully ensures the operation of helicopter systems and equipment:

All additional equipment Ka-26 is designed for special tasks. For agricultural work, the distribution of liquid chemicals (a tank of 800 liters suspended from the central compartment) and the spraying of bulk chemicals (a hopper with a capacity of 800 liters) was envisaged. Spreading and spraying is carried out thanks to a special system. Protection of the respiratory organs of the pilot works on the principle of a gas mask. In the helicopter the air purification mechanism is mounted and a specialized filter-absorber is installed.
Helicopter flight in severe meteorological conditions is provided by flight-navigation equipment. It includes a radio compass, radio station R-860 and course system.
